About us

Situated on the edge of Brackley, Brackley Fields was established in 1986 and has been under the present family ownership and management from 1995. The original house has been improved and extended a number of times to provide 35 beds in 34 rooms. Twenty eight bedrooms are single en-suite, 6 are single rooms and one double room, ostensibly for a couple.

Public accommodation comprises:

  • Two sitting rooms, one of which is on the first floor

  • A library and bar

  • Two dining rooms

  • Hairdressing Salon

The Home is owned by Mr & Mrs J Rayner. Mrs Rayner, MSc Health Studies; BSc Nursing, has had wide experience practising as a State Registered Nurse and also lectured at the University of Northampton.

About 48 loyal full-time and part-time staff provide excellent continuity: most have worked here in excess of 5 years. The Care Manager (NVQ 4 & Registered Manager’s Award) and the Training Coordinator (NVQ Assessor) have been here over 26 years.

The Home is registered with the Care Quality Commission to accept 35 elderly people over 65 years of age.

We accept residents who have dementia insofar as that they are able to integrate in our community without detriment to the quality of life of other users.

Our excellent working relationship with the local GP practices ensures that medical and nursing support, when required, is timely.

The available services are:

  • Visiting practice GP’s and nurses, when required

  • Two Activities Organisers, mornings and afternoons 7 days a week

  • Regular craft classes

  • Weekly visiting entertainment

  • Visiting Opticians

  • Hairdressing*

  • Chiropody treatment*

  • Daily newspapers and periodicals*

  • Monthly Interdenominational communion service

  • ‘Pat Dog’ fortnightly visits

    * On repayment

The house is fortunate enough to benefit from 2 sitting rooms, a large sitting room which is used for daily activities and shows, as well as a communal room for socialising, and is home to our 10ft cinema projector. The smaller sitting room offers our residents a comfortable, quiet space where they can unwind and relax as they wish.

All of our rooms are presented with neutral colours. However, we encourage all of our residents to play a part in how their rooms are decorated.
